From our President

Season's Greetings and wishing everyon a Happy New Year. We've had a very fun and productive first half the 2007-2008 Rotary year. We've read to students at the Tyson-Shoener elementary school in the Reading School District, we've participated in a very successful auction as part of the District's efforts to raise funds for an upcoming RotaPlast trip, and we've had a host of great programs.

Let's keep the energy. On tap we have the New Generation Youth Conference, the High School Ethics Conference, the Reading Symphony Youth Orchestra Outstanding Performer, our very own Big Heart-Small World Award, Students of the Month from Wilson and Wyomissing High School, and many other great events. You can continue to make a difference that, in some cases, we will not realize how significant the affect, for years to come.

Keeping that thought in mind, one important project that needs our attention it the Rotary Foundation. Every year. Every Rotarian. Please try to contribute one hundred dollars to this cause. The foundation is the lifeblood of our organization. See Norm Bailey for more information.

Spring is right around the corner, so let's enjoy the balance of winter.

Yours in Rotary
President Dave
